6 Days / 5 Nights
(Ravla Khempur - Badgaon - Akola - Shani Maharaj Temple - Bhimkhand - Chittorgarh)

 

This Tour will start from Ravla Khempur. In this tour the tourists will have a unique experience of staying in the tents or in the villages where they would be the guests of the Thakurs of these villages.

Day 1: Ravla Khempur
In the morning arrive at Ravla Khempur and go for the village sightseeing with guide and have lunch. In the evening there would be familiarization ride around Khempur as it is a compulsory tradition at Ravla Khempur to first have a familiarization ride of a few kilometers. This will be followed by cultural evening and horse dances.

Day 2: Ravla Khempur - Badgaon
After having breakfast you will start your horse safari. The lunch would be at the forest camp site. Night camp and cultural evening and dinner would be held at Badgaon lakeside. Various migratory birds visit this lake during winter.

Day 3: Badgaon - Akola
After having breakfast you will start your horse safari from Badgaon to Akola. The lunch would be taken on the way. Night camp and cultural evening and dinner would be held at Akola. Akola is the center of textile printing using unique vegetable dyes.

Day 4: Akola - Shani Maharaj Temple - Bhimkhand
After having breakfast you will start your horse safari from Akola to Bhimkhand. On the way you will visit the Shani Maharaj Temple or the temple of the Saturn god and have your lunch. The night camp and dinner would be held at Bhimkhand village.

Day 5: Bhimkhand - Chittorgarh
After having breakfast you will start your horse safari from Bhimkhand to Chittorgarh. The lunch would be taken on the way. In the late afternoon you will reach Chittorgarh. In chittorgarh, you will visit the Chittorgarh fort and other places. In the evening there will be cultural and dance programs and dinner.

Day 6: Chittorgarh
In the morning after breakfast transfer to onward destination.

Day 01: Flight to India (Delhi)
Around midnight arrival in Delhi. The cosmopolitan city and capital New Delhi is the main gateway for the travelers to India. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi - Jaipur (about 260 kms)
In the morning after having breakfast, drive from Delhi to Jaipur. This city owes its name, foundations and careful planning to the great warrior and astronomer, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and famous for its handicrafts and precious and semiprecious stones.

Horse Safari in Rajasthan

Day 03: Jaipur
After breakfast we drive to the ancient capital of Amber, laying 11 km. away from Jaipur. Amber was the ancient capital of Kachhawaha dynasty for 6 centuries before it was moved to newly created Jaipur. We will ascend to the Palace Fortress on the back of an Elephant. Enroute to Amber we will visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), built in 1799 AD, it contains 953 small casements with each having its own balcony. The windows enabled cool air to circulate and the ladies to watch processions below without being seen. In the afternoon we visit the City Palace which is still the formal residence of the royal family, built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. In the museum of the city palace we visit the private collection of the Jaipur Maharajas. We continue to Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory, the largest of Jai Singh's five remarkable observatories. It's complex instruments reveals us the secrets of medieval Indian astronomy. In the evening we drive through the new city of Jaipur and visit "Laxmi Narayan Mandir", a Hindu temple made out of white marble. Today we have dinner with a presentation of Indian music and dance.

Day 04: Jaipur - Khuri (about 350 kms)
Today we drive from Jaipur to at Khuri. In Khuri, we have 2 to 3 hours horse riding. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 05: Khuri - Luni
Today you will enjoy the horse safari from Khuri to Luni for about four and half hours. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 06: Luni - Rohet
Today you will enjoy the horse safari from Luni to Rohet for about four and half hours. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 07: Rohet - Sovaniya
Today you will enjoy the horse safari from Rohet to Sovaniya for about six hours. Overnight stay in the tent.

Day 08: Sovaniya - Sodawas

Day 11: Ghanerao - Jodhpur (about 215 kms) - Delhi (by air)
in the morning after having breakfast, you will drive from Ghanerao to Jodhpur. Later transfer to the airport for the flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations representative and drive to the international airport to catch the flight.

Day 12: Delhi (Departure)
Around midnight flight to home destination.

Nagaur Horse Safari Tour

12 Days / 11 Nights
(Delhi - Nawalgarh - Parasrampura - Lohargal - Rewasa - Sujas - Kochor - Sulyas (Ramgarh) - Ghatwa - Shyamgarh - Bhagwanpura - Nawa Salt Lake - Nagaur - Jodhpur - Delhi)

 

In the Nagaur Horse Safari Tour, you will have horse safari from Nawalgarh to Nagaur. During this tour, you will also visit Nawalgarh, Parasrampura, Lohargal, Rewasa, Sujas, Kochor, Sulyas, Ghatwa, Shyamgarh, Bhagwanpura, Nawa Salt Lake, Nagaur and Jodhpur.

Day 1: Flight to India (Delhi)

Day 2: Delhi - Nawalgarh
In the morning drive from Delhi to Nawalgarh in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. Nawalgarh is known for the havelis of its wealthy merchant class, the Marwaris. The drive to Shekhawati is through picturesque village and farms. Nawalgarh was founded in 1737 AD by Thakur Nawal Singh, a warrior statesman. The town exudes an old world charm and the colourful bazaar has the largest number of painted Havelis in Shekhawati. In the late afternoon meet up at the stables, where the riders will be introduced to the safari team and the lovely ‘Marwari’ horses and can also have a ride. The riding leader Shri Devendra singh will advise about the horses and give the details about the tour and introduction talk on the arid region ecology.

Day 3: Nawalgarh
In the morning you will ride on the horses to the country side. In the afternoon you will visit the havelies.

Day 4: Nawalgarh - Parasrampura - Lohargal (about 32 kms.)
In the morning you will start with your horse safari to Lohargal. You will follow a dry riverbed with lots of Acacia bushes. The view of Aravali ranges makes the ride very scenic. In the afternoon you will have lunch near Parasrampura. After lunch you will move towards the Aravali mountains. At the foothills of Aravalli’s is the Pilgrim town of Lohargal. It is said Bhima the strongest of the five Pandav brothers, had his mace cast here. Hence, ‘Lohargal’, means iron smelting. This is also a place of Hindu pilgrimage.

Day 5: Lohargal - Rewasa - Sujas (about 38 kms.)
In the morning you will ride towards Danta following the Aravali mountains down a dry riverbed till Raghunathgarh. The stone quarries of Raghunathgarh have resulted in deep ravines. Riding through them is a great experience. On the way, you can have lunch. Later cross the highway and leave the Sikar district and ride towards a large marshy tract with Salt Pans. In the evening reach the campsite which is on a flat area. Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 6: Sujas - Kochor - Sulyas (Ramgarh) (about 35 kms.)
Today you will have horse safari from Sujas to Sulyas and pass through semi desert region with lots of Khejri trees and some farmhouses with mud huts. On the way, you will have lunch at Kochor Village. The ride goes past the Roopgarh fort and mountain pass. Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 7: Sulyas - Ghatwa - Shyamgarh (about 42 kms.)
Today you will have horse safari from Sulyas to shyamgarh. On the way, you will pass through village Ghatwa. Here a famous battle had taken place between Rao Shekha and Gour Rajputs, where twenty five thousand men laid their lives. This place is still known as Godati or the area of Gaurs, the erstwhile rulers. From a high sand dune adjoining the mountain ranges, you can have a breathtaking view of the five famous forts of this region. Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 8: Shyamgarh - Bhagwanpura - Nawa Salt Lake (about 42 kms.)
In the morning, you will ride towards Nawa Salt Lake. This ride is the most picturesque part of this Safari. After lunch you can have ride around this salt lake and enjoy the beautiful sunset. Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 9: Nawa Salt lake - Nagaur
After having breakfast you will drive by your vehicles to Nagaur. Nagaur was a bastion of the Rathore rulers of Marwar. The fort remained with the Mughals for a certain period and is now restored as a private archeological monument. In Nagaur, a large fair for buying and selling of the famous Nagauri cattle, the Marwari horses and camels takes place in the Hindu month of magha. This place is known for the famous Mathania variety of red chili peppers, and methi.

Day 10: Nagaur
The whole day is at leisure to enjoy the riding.

Day 11: Nagaur - Jodhpur
After having breakfast drive to Jodhpur. Jodhpur was once the capital of the princely state of Marwar (Land of death). Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan. Jodhpur is also known as the blue city as most of the houses of the old city are painted blue. The old city is surrounded by a huge 10 km long wall which has 101 bastions and seven gates. Jodhpur lies on the once strategic Delhi-Gujarat trading route and the marwaris got benefit from the passing traffic of opium, copper, silk which was traded to China. In the afternoon you will visit the Mehrangarh Fort (majestic fort). Mehrangarh Fort was built on a steep hill and is among the best in India with exquisitely latticed windows in residential apartments within. We also visit the Jaswant Thada, a royal cenotaph built in white marble. After the sightseeing you will have a walk through the Bazaars of Jodhpur.

Day 12: Jodhpur - Delhi
In the morning transfer to the airport for flight to Delhi. In the afternoon reach Delhi. The whole day is at leisure.

Day 01: Flight to India (New Delhi)

Day 04: Jodhpur - Ranakpur
After breakfast drive to Ranakpur from Jodhpur. Ranakpur is known for its superbly carved marble Jain Temples. An enormous basement of this temple covers 48,000 sq. feet. There are four subsidiary shrines, twenty-four pillared halls. The total number of columns is 1,444, all of which are intricately carved, no two being alike. The Ranakpur Jain Temples were built during the 15th century.

Day 05: Ranakpur - Kotri
After having breakfast, from Ranakpur we will start our first horse safari. We will have horse safari to village Kotri. Enroute we stop at Barkana. After lunch resume the horse ride to Kotri. By the evening arrive at Kotri.

Day 06: Kotri - Hemawas
In the morning after having breakfast we start horse ride to Hemawas. In the way we pass through many small village settlements. On arrival in Hemawas relax for a while. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and explore the surrounding area.                                                                                                                             

Day 07: Hemawas - Rohet
In the morning after having breakfast we ride on horses towards Rohet. In the afternoon arrive in Rohet. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 08: Rohet - Kharwa
After breakfast drive to Kharwa, which is famous for tomato cultivation. It also boasts of a big artificial lake and an enchanting fort. In the afternoon arrive in Kharwa. In the evening we will visit the fort.

Day 09: Kharwa - Pushkar
In the morning after having breakfast start horse ride towards Pushkar, the conclusion point of horse safari trip. Pushkar being one of the most religious places for Hindus has the atmosphere of an ancient religious town. The only temple of God Brahma is in Pushkar thus making Pushkar an important pilgrimage city for Hindus. Pushkar has become famous in the world due to its Pushkar Festival which takes place in the month of November when the whole of Pushkar is transformed into a spectacular fair ground where thousands of pilgrims come to bath in the holy water of Pushkar lake and the biggest cattle and camel markets take place here where farmers, breeders and camel traders buy and sell. We will visit the temple and lake.

Day 10: Pushkar - Jaipur (about 131 km)
After breakfast we leave the holy city of Pushkar and drive towards the Pink City Jaipur. Today we have dinner with a presentation of Indian music and dance.

Day 12: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (about 260 km)
Today we leave Rajasthan, the biggest state in India and drive through a series of fields, small towns and villages in direction of Agra. Enroute we make a stop and visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was once an imperial capital frozen in time, constructed by Akbar the Great in the 16th century. This wonderful city constructed by red sand stones was abandoned as abruptly as it had been built. It has been generally stated that it was due to failing in the water supply. In the evening we will arrive in Agra. Evening free for leisure.

Day 13: Agra
Today we start our sightseeing by a visit to the Agra Fort, built by three of the greatest Mughal emperors. The construction of this massive structure began in 1565 under Akbar's reign and continued till the time of his grandson's reign, Shah Jahan who built the impressive imperial quarters and mosque. After the visit of Agra Fort we proceed to visit the most beautiful monument of India, the Taj Mahal, an enduring monument to love, with a continually fulfilling beauty. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1631-52, as a tomb and memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal (Jewel of the Palace), who died at the age of 39 giving birth to her 14th child. We spend enough time at Taj Mahal to take this impressive memory home. After the visit of Taj Mahal we have a look at the famous fine marble inlay work, which is still being done in Agra by the descendants of the families of builders and artists of the Taj Mahal.

Day 14: Agra - New Delhi (about 200 km)
In the morning, after having our breakfast we will drive to New Delhi. In the afternoon we will arrive in New Delhi. Rest of the day free for leisure.

Day 15: New Delhi
Around midnight flight to home destination.
